Description Craig Jeffares 2005-08-09 13:22:37 UTC
Curently there are only pt resources for openoffice.org 2.0 in Sl10.0 available
to pt_BR (Brazilian) users.

Can we add the pt_BR language pack to the CD and update the dependencies ?
Although its not already on the CD there appears to be pt_BR support
http://br-pt.openoffice.org/

We had the same issue on 1.3 on NLD and we found the pt_BR lang rpm for NLD9SP2.
pt and pt_BR are very different languages and we feedback on this issue from
customers.

Also myspell-brazilian is on the CD's but not a package added when pt_BR support
is installed.

This is something that has to be fixed in the selections. Stefan, can you take
care of this?
Comment 4 Christoph Thiel 2005-09-05 10:12:19 UTC
Note: We have both, myspell-brazilian and OpenOffice_org-pt_BR.
Comment 5 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-05 12:57:48 UTC
This has already been fixed for after Beta1.
Comment 6 Emmet Wildes 2005-09-05 13:45:07 UTC
Not fixed for Brazilian Portuguese, Beta4 050901
Comment 7 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-05 14:59:59 UTC
If it's really not fixed in Beta4, it's fixed for Beta4plus and will be fixed
for RC1. The pt_BR language selection looks now this way:

ispell-american
ispell-brazilian
ispell-british
ispell-portuguese
kde3-i18n-pt_BR
koffice-i18n-pt_BR
MOzilaFirefox-tranlations
myspell-brazilian
OpenOffice_org-pt-BR
yast2-trans-pr_BR
Comment 8 John-Carl Kullmann 2005-09-12 08:48:09 UTC
Still a bug in Brazilian Portuguese build RC1 050909.
Comment 9 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-12 09:57:38 UTC
I don't believe this. Attach a screenshot.
Comment 10 Craig Jeffares 2005-09-12 12:33:28 UTC
Attached screen shot:
pt_BR - shows pt_BR language options without OpenOffice_Org-pt_BR
opeoffice.png - Shows a search for OpenOffice_Org* showing no pt_BR pack.

Comment 13 Christoph Thiel 2005-09-12 12:36:42 UTC
OpenOffice_Org-pt_BR isn't on the CDs, but on the DVD (or the ftp trees).
Comment 14 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-12 12:36:57 UTC
Hmm ... I'll try to reproduce with RC1.
Comment 15 Craig Jeffares 2005-09-12 12:50:37 UTC
Can it be included on CD's ?
Comment 16 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-12 12:53:11 UTC
Works for me with DVD installation media.
Comment 17 Craig Jeffares 2005-09-12 13:00:52 UTC
We're testing using the CD's thats obviously the issue :)

How do we get it on the CD's as well ?
Comment 18 Christoph Thiel 2005-09-12 13:11:28 UTC
I don't see any chance of getting that package onto the CDs. We only have
limited space as you might know and this package is 30 Megs in size. The CDs are
already more than full and we are fighting for every single Meg.
