Atheros wlan (IBM R50p) doesn't work due to missing symbols:
Aug  9 17:27:06 pluto kernel: ath_rate_sample: Unknown symbol ath_hal_computetxt
The chip worked fine with SUSE 9.2 and 9.3. In earlier releases, there was a
ath_hal.ko, which is missing in 10.0b1
