Description Dieter Bloms 2005-08-09 18:52:10 UTC
Hi,

during the installation yast2 tries to install the package atmel-firmware.
But this is not include in the cds, so I'm not able to install it.
During this fact the MAC address of this card is not know by yast2 and it saves
the config under ifcfg-wlan-bus-usb-2-1:1.0 instead of
ifcfg-wlan-id-00:06:f4:01:12:83.
But the configfile ifcfg-wlan-bus-usb-2-1:1.0 will not be used during reboot.

bad luck.
the cd set is the OSS variant and atmel-firmware is not an open-source
package (commercial license).

I guess I won't be able to help here.

where can I download the firmware ?
btw.: I use a AVM DSL Modem USB which need a firmware, too.
Fir a new user it would be difficult to make a internetconnection and download
the firmware.
hen egg problem :(
