do other mediawikis have this option? Each MediaWiki has got this option ;-), in our setup the default search does not search in the namespace "Users" - this should be fixed. If you search for "darix" in the left nav, the result page returns no results for this query. Now check the namespace "Users" and search again. Now the the user page for darix will be listed. so the bug report was wrong initially and it should be: Searching user namespace isnt enabled for simple search? that helps :) i will look into the config and provide a patch to jared. will be fixed with 1.5 upgrade |
