Description Ian Denhardt 2005-08-12 02:04:43 UTC
on all of the mirrors I've tried, When I begin downloading the eval DVD iso for
SUSE 9.3 pro, firefox tells me the file is 188.9 MB, and IE tells me it is 184
MB. the site itself says it should be 4.3 GB. after it passes the theoretical
file size, it contiunes to download, and eventually fails. this is a serious
problem, as I cannot use the DVD version of the OS, and therefore cannot use it
on my 64 bit system, althought the cds work fine. I realize this isn't actually
a SUSE 10.0 bug, but there isn't a bugzilla for SUSE 9.3 pro, or any part of the
novel website, so I figured this was as good as anything. also, I chose
Installation as the component, as I wasn't sure what else to put this under, if
this gets sent to someone who doesn't have control over the appropriate part of
the website, I'm sorry for wasting your time, but please let whoever can fix it
know.

This is not even bug of SUSE Linux.

What I've found on google: most of the Windows download managers are unable
to deal with the size.

e.g. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/history/339103

Suggestion:
Use for example Download Manager 4.04, be sure you download to a NTFS disk.

Hope it helps.

Do you know of any free windows software that matches these needs?
