Description Lenz Grimmer 2005-08-12 13:37:34 UTC
When booting off the DVD, I selected "Installation" in the isolinux selection.
The kernel is then loaded and a bootsplash is displayed.

At this point, there is no visual feedback that the installation proceeds. In my
case, the PCMCIA hardware probing seems to have taken quite a while. It was not
clear if the system was stuck or busy - I needed to press Escape to get into the
text mode to see what was going on. After a very long while (more than a
minute), the installation proceeded.

Please provide some visual feedback what's going on in the background.
