FYI:

the patch below was reported on suse-linux-ja ML.
I tried it (directly patching ps files), and seems working with
article9.ps.  Nice to have it on SL10.0b2.

Fixed packages submitted to STABLE, fix should show up in the next beta
version of SuSE Linux 10.0.

Closing as FIXED.

Hi Mike,

the patch below is a fix for vertical rendering japanese letter, also
for the ps file generated from acrobat PDF.  The topic was reported on
suse-linux-ja ML.

The original patch was taken from 
	http://www.gssm.otsuka.tsukuba.ac.jp/staff/ohki/gs851-patch-mine
for GS 8.51 and I modified and clean up it to adapt to our gs package.
The patch replaces the old gs850-vfont-patch.

article9.ps and vchar*.ps are shown correctly, at least.

Please review and test for inclusion to our package.
(Maybe there will be a bugreport later, as I asked on suse-linux-ja
 ML.)
