y2logs? You know the drill... unfortunatelly the virtual system crashes before anything is written to the virtual disk. BTW, I tried SUSE Linux 9.2 afterwards and it was also impossible to install inside VMware 4 on the Windows XP host Next thing I try is to "upgrade" to VMware 4.5 :) As long as the red popup "an error occured during installation" is still open, you should still be able to retrieve the y2logs on console 2: http://www.suse.de/~sh/Bugreporting-faq/index.html#y2faq_linuxrc_error_popup after updating the outdated VMware version on my Windows XP host to Version 4.5.2 build-8848 the problem is solved. Installation worked more or less without problems |
