Description Glenn Holmer 2005-08-18 01:23:28 UTC
Couldn't print to a parallel-attached printer during setup in YaST. CUPS web
interface said "Unable to open parallel port device file "/dev/lp0": Permission
denied". Listed /dev/lp* and found that lp0 was a regular file -rw-r--r--
containing the text "Hello, world".

I dont think it's problem of yast2-printer module
but wait for logs then we see
maybe it's duplicate of #104874
please attach also whether lp module is loaded

Comment 5 Glenn Holmer 2005-08-22 13:47:18 UTC
After a few restarts, it works (can't reproduce). I'll try again when beta 3 is
released and take logs.
Comment 6 Michal Zugec 2005-08-23 13:35:24 UTC
I reproduced it and after hwinfo lp module is unloaded
It is duplicate of #104874
