sax never will configure VNC by default. SaX has nothing to do with that remote administration feature because this is based on xinetd/Xvnc and SaX only provide the possibility to export your current X-Server with settings made in xorg.conf... totally different stuff The proposal of sax in the installation has no code for VNC setup But sure it is confusing to users, as we have seen a similar question asked today on research. We should use help texts to explain the difference. (Text freeze now but maybe worth it) Lukas should look into y2logs for the second case he mentioned. people we are talking about completely different things, the possibility to export the X-Server with vnc exists since the very first versions of sax, the only thing which has changed is the GUI ;) I did not provide any VNC handling in YaST or in the proposal while installing so there is no point for explanations. IMHO I would suggest to explain that "remote administration feature" more detailed to let people understand what it does I can't reproduce it with the minimal installation, sorry :(. It might be dependent on the KDE selection I used before - I'll try it again. mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;( |
