Description Jan Engelhardt 2005-08-18 14:40:36 UTC
src/ifaces.c could be populated with some more interfaces, including
br, tap, dummy and vmnet. They all work like Ethernet. I attach a patch I used
for my own RPM, it's from 9.3 so a little out-of-date (e.g. does not include
the "modem" iface yet.)

There is also a "ni" interface, which is what I use for PERSISTENT_NAME since
eth* cannot be reused. (Shorthand for "network interface".)

Do you have tried to submit this upstream?
Comment 3 Jan Engelhardt 2005-08-18 15:12:15 UTC
The last time I tried to submit something upstream (-> seteuid patch, currently
still in the specfile rather than upstream!) nobody answered there.
