Adding a GRUB entry with YaST2. I selected "Kernel (Linux)".

Description Kirk Coombs 2005-08-18 19:54:25 UTC
I have been trying to add new entries to GRUB (for the xen kernel) and have
noticed that YaST refuses to write new entries to /boot/grub/menu.lst.

Here is what I have done:

1. start the bootloader configuration in yast
2. select add.
3. select "Kernel (Linux)" (or Kernel under XEN)
4. enter new kernel specifics
5. select ok and finish.

Notice the the entry is NOT added to /boot/grub/menu.lst!

The only way to add an entry with YaST is to use the "clone" option then change
the pre-filled fields.

Entries can be edited just fine.

I have not tested "Other System (chainloader)".
