Reassigned to tetex maintainer
Comment 2 Dr. Werner Fink 2005-08-19 08:12:07 UTC
@Ladislav: This has nothing todo with TeTeX, This is a BUG in YAST
which has rewritten /etc/shadow and expired the passwords
of several system users like nobody.

It seems that YAST rewrites /etc/shadow even on the Beta2.
This has to be fixed!
Comment 3 Arvin Schnell 2005-08-19 08:16:22 UTC
So, bug #104937 is not fixed in Beta 2.
Comment 4 Jiří Suchomel 2005-08-19 08:19:45 UTC
Martin, did you install your beta2 or just upgraded it from beta1?
Comment 5 Dr. Werner Fink 2005-08-19 08:23:50 UTC
I'd like to see the line of user nobody of /etc/shadow.
Please provide the output of

         grep nobody /etc/shadow

to see what YaST has rewritten. The line should look like

         nobody:*:13204::::::

in other word the min and max fild has to empty.
Comment 6 Martin Mewes 2005-08-19 08:44:28 UTC
Just as a quick note: I did an upgrade from Beta1 to Beta2. The needed
information will follow this evening.
Comment 7 Jiří Suchomel 2005-08-19 08:51:21 UTC
It it enough.
During update, /etc/shadow could not be fixed and it was broken from beta1.
