Description Alexander Schaefer 2005-08-19 11:09:08 UTC
When trying to do a suspend to RAM, the system sleeps as expected. But waking up
is not possible (screen remains dark). This is obviously not only a video
problem, entering "find /" as described in howto (aftern booting with
init=/bin/bash, suspending and waking up) does not seem to cause any activity
and USB devices do not get power supply. I am not sure whether there are even
more hardware devices involved in this problem. Perhaps this behavior has the
same reason as the suspend to disk problem described in Bug #104647.

Test system: FSC AMilo Pro 8010, Intel i915 GM centrino chipset, Pentium M 1.73
GHz, 60 GB SATA HDD, 512 MB RAM.

Seife or Thomas, please take care of it.

I'll have a look at it next week when i am back in the office.
This may be impossible to fix, maybe the machine hangs in the BIOS already, it
may also be a SATA issue.
