Description Thomas Horsley 2005-08-21 00:04:13 UTC
Installing from the CDs, I was somewhat startled to find the system rebooting
after the 1st CD. The surprise could be diminished somewhat if the list of
actions on the left hand side of the installation window (the ones that get
check marks as you go along) looked something like:

Install CD 1
Boot first time
Install remaining CDs

instead of just "Perform install"

Of course it would be even less surprising if it just installed all the CDs
before the first boot :-).

It's not always possible to install all CDs in a row since the initial
system (containing YaST and all that stuff) may be mounted from CD1 so
CD1 cannot be ejected.

It is theoretically possible in some cases to do the reboot later - if there
is enough memory to move the installation system into ramdisk. However, this
is not something that could be done now.

mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
