You don't have to rebuild kernel at all. If you don't need ALSA, simply tune modprobe.conf & co. As the last resort, you can remove module files, too. Based on Takashi's feedback in comment #1, integrating alternative sound drivers should be feasible. I don't think we are going to expend more effort on this. |
