Description Andreas Schwab 2005-08-21 12:23:16 UTC
Kaffeine often crashes while navigating through the menu of a DVD. The crash
frequently happens in KSelectAction::setupMenu while looping over the m_list
iterator, other crashes are within malloc. Seems like the QString objects
used in setupMenu are no longer alive.

Which DVD did you test?
Comment 8 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 15:59:31 UTC
with the suse test dvd

Comment 9 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-07 16:08:30 UTC
Does it have menus?
Comment 10 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 16:15:47 UTC
why don't you try it with the DVD, show me how to crash it?

without a way to reproduce it there is no other resolution that worksforme

Comment 11 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-07 16:17:56 UTC

Comment 12 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 16:47:07 UTC

Comment 13 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-07 21:46:39 UTC
Did you test on an SMP system?
Comment 14 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-08 07:43:24 UTC
no.

Comment 15 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-08 09:08:35 UTC
So you didn't really test it.
Comment 16 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-08 09:18:32 UTC
correct, thats why I didn't close it with WORKSFORME.

Look, we can play this game forever, but it would be much easier if you'd
actually fetch the same DVD I tested with and show me how to crash it.

Its not that I don't want to fix it, I just don't want to randomly click in
the application for two hours so that I can eventually trigger the crash
you're reporting.

Comment 17 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-16 23:59:26 UTC
This was trivial to fix, I can't understand why you are so stubborn.
Comment 18 Andreas Schwab 2005-09-17 00:01:04 UTC
