To avoid always having to burn CD's or DVD's in order to get them to be seen as
a source, it would be really nice if an .iso file could be added as a source.

You can mount the iso-image via loop-back, e.g. "mount -o ro,loop data.iso /mnt".
We even have enough loopback devices for all CDs.

comment #1: Yeah, I already do that, I just thought that pointing to an iso and
having yast do that automatically in the add source would be good.

doc).

Because the LATER and REMIND resolutions have been removed, the resolution of this bug has changed from LATER to WONTFIX. If this bug needs to be reconsidered, reopen it and set a future "Target Milestone for Fix."
