HW: HP omnibook 6100, 20 GB HD
After a proper installation from CD1 and reboot the System is not bootable.
Error Message: "Fehler beim Laden des Betriebssystems"

The Failure is reproducible. I tried the installation completely again. This
time the English failure message occurs "No operation system".
I fixed the boot failure with following procedure:

Boot from CD1 again.
Installation
 Preparation
  Installation Mode (new window)
   Klick on Button "Other..."
    Repair Installed System (new window)
     System Repair Initilization
      Repair Method (new window)
       Klick on Button "Automatic Repair"
        System Check (new window)
         ...
         Check minimal Packege Selection
         Searching for minimum required packages                ->Error
         Some Packages of the minimum requirement were missing
          Missing Packages (new window)
           syslinux
           activate Checkbox and klick on Button Repair
          Writing the System configuration (new window)
         Installation missing packages                          ->Failed
         Installation of missing packages was not successful
         Searching for minimum required packages                ->Error
         Some Packages of the minimum requirement were missing
         Missing Packages (new window)
           syslinux
           activate Checkbox and klick on Button Repair
          Writing the System configuration (new window)
         ...
         Checking boot loader configuration file
         Boot loader configuration file check was successful
         Asking about boot loader                               ->Error
          Boot Loader Check (new window)
           ... no Error found in boot loader
           Klick on Button "Repair"
           Boot Loader Settings (new window)
            Select Boot Loader Installation
             Change Radiobutton
              from Boot Sector of Boot Partition /dev/hda2
              to   Master Boot Record of /dev/hda
            The Bootloader was installed successfully
            Error detected by User
            Boot Loader configuration repaired

After this procedure the OS is bootable.

Test with Beta3, please.

No boot problems with beta 3
