Description Karol Babioch 2018-03-29 12:53:17 UTC
rh#1561980

A regular expression used for parsing POSIX paths could be used to cause a denial of service if an attacker were able to have a specially crafted path string passed through one of the impacted 'path' module functions.

Comment 2 Karol Babioch 2018-03-29 13:02:10 UTC
Could you please check whether we are affected? Not sure, since the code has evolved quite a bit, not familiar with the code base.
Comment 3 Adam Majer 2018-04-03 10:55:16 UTC
SLE-12 W&S module is affected because there nodejs{4,6} is using bundled OpenSSL. It's unaffected for Leap 42.3 since it's not using bundled openssl library.
Comment 4 Adam Majer 2018-04-03 10:59:49 UTC

Opps. Nothing to do with OpenSSL.

nodejs{4,6,8} are all affected.
Comment 5 Karol Babioch 2018-04-03 15:09:06 UTC
what about nodejs 0.6.8-0.2.3 as shipped in SUSE:SLE-11-SP2:Update?
