Description Arnaud Delobel 2005-08-24 16:26:27 UTC
I've tried to install a printer shared on a Windows XP box. Everything went fine
until the test: the printer is found when I test the connection in Yast2.
Everything is also OK using print:/manager in KDE or Gnome utilities.

When I try to print a test page, nothing happens, and using KDe print manager,
the job remains in the queue indefinitely.

I had a look to http://localost:631, and I get the following message:
Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds...foomatic-rip version
$Revision: 3.48 $ running...

This is very annoying since most of the printers I use (at home or at the
office) are shared on Windows boxes.

This bug was reproduced on different networks and different printers. When
printing directly on network printers, everything's fine.

Thanks for your help.

PS: That's my first bug report. i may have ommited important informations. Don't
hesitate to ask if necessary.
