Description Stephan Lauffer 2005-08-25 09:45:44 UTC
During the "custom partition (for experts)" menue in yast2 I produced a segfault
as i tried to install SuSE in logical partitions. If I use primary partitions it
works.

how to reproduce:

new installation -> ... Desktop Selection "Other - Text mode" -> Partitioning...
Create Custom Partition Setup -> Custom Partitioning (for experts) and then:

1. delete all old partitions on /dev/hda
2. create extended partition over the whole hdd
3. create root partition in hd5 (here a 40GB reiser)
4. create swap in hd6 (here with 2G)
5. click on "finish"

yast2 stops, for about a half second I see some informations on the console
screen with "...segfault..." but then I get into the yast2 textmode with a red
error message "An error occured during the installation."

if there's a way to get "back" to the error message? i didn't found a hint in
/var/log/Yast2.

greetings, stephan
