Description Joachim Werner 2005-08-25 10:50:49 UTC
Up to beta3 the NIS configuration dialog always defaulted to automated NIS
client setup via DHCP.

Now the default is to configure a static address, and if I choose DHCP setup
anyway I get a message telling me that this won't work and I have to change my
server setup.

This might be an actual server-side problem in Nürnberg, but I am not aware of
any changes that might have caused this problem.

I'll attach logs in a minute ...

After finishing the installation network did not work. I had to manually
restart the network (DHCP client was dead) and separately restart autofs.
Comment 3 Joachim Werner 2005-08-25 12:21:08 UTC
I was successful with NIS setup on another machine. So there seems to be some
hardware-dependency ...
Comment 4 Jiří Suchomel 2005-08-25 12:53:22 UTC
that's probably because of DHCP wasn't detected
