If you choose Settings -> Amarok -> Audio output, there is no module (was to 
be artsd, alsa or kdemm.

I have helix there. Do you happen to use x86_64?

amarok-helix is not installed on OSS edition, because auf dependency to 
RealPlayer. 
 
However, amarok-xine should be installed. 
 
I do add a general engine requirement inside now ...

Adrian, as your fix is in STABLE, this bug can be closed FIXED?
