Well, yes. The conflict dialog is not a that clear. Sorry, at that point we don't have any more information than that. Everything we know about the problem is displayed in that window. If we knew anything more, we would tell the user - or, rather, try to fix it without bothering the user at all. It doesn't get any better than that at this point. And yes, this is not ideal. But we can't help it with the current dependency solver. The resolution to that would rather be something like CANTFIX, but this is unknown to Bugzilla. WONTFIX is what comes closest. Could you explain why the header "Installed Version" is missing from "Technical Data" and "Dependencies" tabs? If this header was shown you would understand that there were no "Alternate Version" (Updated Version) available. |
