Description Mihnea Istinie 2005-08-26 12:16:27 UTC
With Beta3 I cannot use infrared (/dev/ircomm*) devices due to missing /dev entry.

Maybe it's a pilot error and a different way to use now irda, but /dev/ircomm*
was used for communications with several PDAs (that's why I choose the mobile
devices component)

Do you need any special logs ?

Comment 2 Kay Sievers 2005-08-26 14:44:39 UTC
don't we have a irda start script? if yes, it should do a: "modprobe ircomm-tty".
care to look and try out if this fixes the issue?

Comment 4 Mihnea Istinie 2005-08-29 08:38:37 UTC
To #3: Yes, it would fix the issue if the start script would load the ircomm-tty.
Comment 5 Kay Sievers 2005-08-30 23:47:06 UTC
Christian, care to add it to the start script?
Comment 6 Christian Zoz 2005-08-31 09:03:36 UTC
