Description Susan Calvin 2005-08-26 21:47:44 UTC
NFS connection between SuSE9.3 (with generic 2.6.11.5 kernel) as client and
openSuSE-Beta2 running as Server produces the following reproducible problem
using two directly connected RTL8169 GBit NICs:
Copy of CD images (or other large files) from client to server via NFS results
in reception of corrupted files. Corrupted files have different MD5 hashes.
Repetition of transmission results in reproducible but wrong hashes.

Reverted opensuse beta2 kernel to the standard suse 9.3 kernel. This fixed the
problem and files could safely be transmitted via NFS using the method described
above.

Comment 2 Dr. Werner Fink 2005-08-29 09:21:06 UTC
NFS is kernel space with SL9.3 and SL10
Comment 3 Olaf Kirch 2005-08-29 12:55:17 UTC
This problem should be fixed in beta4.
