Description jo de baer 2005-08-27 06:39:15 UTC
The SuSE 9.3 admin or user guide explicitly lists the Logitech Quickcam Express
as an example in the section about webcams. It states that this camera will work
out of the box, while in fact the newer models of this camera have a new chipset
and certainly do not work out of the box. The require the buyer to download a
driver from http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html and compile and install is.

So either include that driver or list another camera as an example, like the
Philips ToUCam Pro.

We will fix the example for now. Thanks a lot for the input!
Comment 2 Thomas Roelz 2005-08-31 13:54:15 UTC
Now we are not naming any models/brands anymore because those namings are not
(or may not be) stable over time. Fixed only in english for now. Will go into
the other languages with the next release.
