knotify seems to open the sound device only once and let it always open.
This prevents unloading of sound modules which prevents suspending with some
sound cards (not all sound modules are clean vs. suspend, extra bug reports
exists since years).

are you sure this is with beta 3 ? this should be fixed there. 
 
I would like to see the system otherwise, if possible.

Yes, it was with beta3, but I was not able to reproduce it this morning.
