I installed the debug info and the KDE crash handler gives me this:
"Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
`system-supplied DSO at 0xffffe000' has disappeared; keeping its symbols.
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]

I installed kat .6.2-3 with YOU on 10.0 beta 3, and it crashes every time i try to open it. however, i was able to add a catalog through kcontrol and kded worked fine and it started indexing when i rebooted. the actual search app however just crashes with "suse@linux:~> kat ERROR: Communication problem with kat, it probably crashed. suse@linux:~> KCrash: Application 'kat' crashing... " its a pretty fresh install , the only weird thing i have installed is prelink, but i have used kat with prelink on other distros before with no problems. i am also using kernel 2.6.13 rc6 git 13-4.
