Description Benjamin Weber 2005-08-28 21:57:55 UTC
Having had to explain it many many times to new users I think the dialogue for
adding a new network package source to yast often confuses users who are
unsure which part of a URL for a package source should go in which field. eg
people often try putting http:// in the server name box along with the server
name, or they put the directory also in the server name and are unsure about
the second.

It would be better imho to have one field where user can paste the whole url
to the package source which would behave in the same way as
"installation_sources -a" and work out protocol server name and directory
without the user needing to know what they mean.

IMHO novice users will even have problems to understand the questions.
What does DHCP, DSL, Modem etc mean. IMHO the detection of this devices should
be automated.
