Description M. W. 2005-08-28 22:43:22 UTC
When running KDE under a AMD 64bit SuSE Pro 9.3, CD audio tracks cannot be
encoded to MP3 even with the official Lame package installed. The same
configuration works on a 32bit system however.
Apparently KDE does not detect that Lame is installed on the 64bit
installation and thus doesn't offer MP3 under the audiocd:/ IO slave.
Comment 1 Dirk Mueller 2005-08-31 22:11:32 UTC
from configure output:

checking for lame library and header... incs=/usr/include libs=/usr/lib64

apparently the explanation is not that simple.. no 64bit box here to test
though.
