Description Joerg Reuter 2005-08-29 10:51:30 UTC
This bothers me since SLES9, I have to admit. The 15" Titanium PowerBook has a
native display resolution of 1280x854, however sax2/YaST offers only 800x600,
1024x768 and 640x480 for any of the apple displays. Downscaling on TFTs looks
terrible, though. The following defintion has been chosen by the X11 server
if you configure it manually to use 1280x854:

Modeline "1280x854" 79.81 1280 1296 1408 1536 854 855 858 866

this is a bug in hwinfo, does hwinfo --monitor show anything other than generic
monitor?
Comment 2 Joerg Reuter 2005-08-29 12:44:35 UTC
I didn't bring the machine with me, I'll take a look tonight.

Okay, here it is. BTW, the resolution suggested by YaST after installation was
800x600.

Added it to hwinfo db. Marcus probably wants it in sax, too.
Comment 5 Marcus Schaefer 2005-09-01 08:43:30 UTC
added to the CDB as:
