The Logitech Quickcam Orbit is improperly identified as a Logitech USB mouse.
Also noticed that there is no available driver included with the distribution
for Logitech Quickcam devices which requires consumers to search online for a
compatible driver. It would be beneficial for Novell to include support for such
devices.

What does /proc/bus/usb/devices show with the quickcam plugged in?

Nothing, it's blank. Also just to clarify the bug is with SUSE Linux 9.3.
Appoligize for any confusion but there is no option in the bug report drop down
menu for SUSE Linux 9.3 though I was able to add it under "OS" as indicated in
the original bug report.

It's blank?  That means no usb controller drivers are loaded at all.

Can you attach the output of running 'hwinfo' as root?

Also, can you try the 10 beta?  That would be your best bet...

hwinfo see line 51.

hwinfo output verifies Logitech Quickcam Orbit identified which but not the
camera is non-functional.

Using GnomeMeeting on SUSE Linux 10.0 the Logitech Quickcam Orbit camera L.E.D. is active but the display with in GnomeMeeting is blank (grey) so no visual is possible. I ran lsmod in the workstation terminal and verified pwc module is included with SUSE Linux 10.0 Linux kernel 2.6.13. Is there something else required by Novell customers to get the camera to function properly with this module?
