Description Holger Hetterich 2005-08-30 15:59:30 UTC
This is a bit tricky to describe :)

I use automounted NFS home directories via NIS on my computers. Now, when I
login on one system, and login on another one with the same user, the session
that has been started on the first system is broken. I get messages: "couldn't
start klauncher" when trying to start a program from kicker. If I log out on
that system, and login again, the other Session on the other system is broken.

Sure it's possible that there is something wrong on my site, but fact is that
I used two sessions in parallel the whole time with 9.3, and I changed nothing
on my setup server-side.

So I guess parallel login is supposed to work at all; if not, close this bug.

Please tell me which logs you might need.

No, it's a bug

I need .xsession-errors* (possibly you need to take care on one of the
computers to use a .xsession-errors to include the hostname.

And what's most interesting: a lsof of both dcopserver and kdeinit processes.

I am sorry I won't be able to provide logs for the next two weeks. Officially
I am on vacation and my newborn daughter takes up all my time :)

I'll provide the files as soon as possible.
adding NEEDINFO for myself

closing that as I am unable to reproduce with newer products.
