Description Frank Seidel 2005-08-31 08:08:26 UTC
as long as subdomain is running, firefox (on x86-64 with beta4) is not starting.
But as soon as subdomain got stopped (rcsubdomain stop) it works like expected.

will attache dmesg output

(P.S:Sorry, but beta4 is currently not selectable in bugzilla)

We'll disable subdomain now for beta4.

This was a pre-test of beta4.
Comment 3 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2005-08-31 14:30:51 UTC
It's not disabled for beta4 as it seems.
Firefox is absolutely not working on beta4 because of this.
Comment 4 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2005-09-01 07:31:48 UTC
I don't have any knowledge about subdomain.
But the profile on beta4 will *never* work with Firefox.
I don't know how this was created but Firefox needs to register some things
which is done via /opt/MozillaFirefox/bin/rebuild-databases.sh as root to write
to the installation directory.
This case seems to be not included in the profile at all.

I just want to add, that my problem with Firefox is on i386 architecture (Bug
#115634).
Comment 9 Dominic W Reynolds 2005-09-09 10:30:35 UTC
firefox profile has been updated for most common use cases.
