trackplus requires tomcat5, which requires java-devel. I don't think
that we should put this into the Office selectin.
Comment 1 Stefan Dirsch 2005-08-31 17:23:27 UTC
It was a proposal by msommer.
Comment 2 Andreas Jaeger 2005-09-01 06:38:47 UTC
Please remove it.

I think during an update from 9.3 to 10.0 the Office selection is updated as
well and leads to this problem.
Comment 3 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-01 06:51:39 UTC
Is this a new feature of YaST2 to update complete selections? Anyway, I'll
remove trackplus from Office now. BTW, the requirements are not that
astonishing:

Summary: A fully featured Web-based issue tracking and bug tracking system
Description : Track+ is a fully featured Web-based issue tracking and bug
tracking system build on top of J2EE and Struts and entirely written in Java.
It supports many database systems such as Oracle 9i, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS
SQL Server, etc. It automatically sends email, can do user authentication via
LDAP, creates comprehensive reports, and much more.

No, this is the default fo YaST2 since we differentiate between updating
installed packages only or update installed selections. In the last case, YaST2
tries to determine which selections are installed and installs all missing
packages new or updated the already installed one.

Thanks, didn't know this. I did know about the "also install new packages"
update option, but didn't know that this is done by updating installed
selections. But, you're right, this can only be done this way.
Comment 6 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-01 07:05:34 UTC
removed for RC1.
Comment 7 Martin Sommer 2005-09-05 09:41:37 UTC
Trackplus is for the first time on SUSe Linux. It is project management software
and seems to be quiet good and fuctional. Since TJ is is the office selection,
it seems to me that project management software belongs to the office selection
somehow. So I have two questions:
1. Can't we add it there but not to the default selection?
2. The fact that if I run an update, YaST updates the whole selection, even if
new packages are added there which are not default and which I probably don't
want to have, is bad. Can we change this?

I want to see trackplus in the office selection.

We've done this.

I don't think so. Either YaST can update each package (+ new deps) or each
selection (default). You want to lose the second option? Assigning to aj.

Something for after 10.0

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
