Having logged in for the first time popups popped up, telling my about "newly discovered hardware", 
like my mouse, my keyboard and the ethernet card. However, these devices are all not new, were used 
during installation and were never unplugged.

And btw: /etc/sysconfig/hotplug is missing, but I assume someone already filed a bug for this.
