Description Joe Harmon 2005-09-01 14:52:00 UTC
If I am using a mixture of login manager (kde) and desktop (gnome), when the
screen attempt to lock (from lack of activity), I don't get the login to unlock
it. I just get a back screen that won't allow me to do anything. If I use gdm
and gnome I don't have the problem. I have not tried with gdm kde or kdm kde
combinations.
Comment 1 Stephan Kulow 2005-09-05 14:58:52 UTC
you don't have kdebase3-kdm installed at all?

Yes kdebase3-kdm-3.4.2-22 is installed
Comment 3 Stephan Kulow 2005-09-06 13:47:45 UTC
oh sorry. I misunderstood the problem. Your desktop doesn't lock - but that's
GNOME here. And as kdm is prefered when both are installed, I very much think
this is pretty nasty

Package with fix submitted, re-open if not fixed (gnome-screensaver 0.0.12-2)
Comment 8 JP Rosevear 2005-09-12 11:50:56 UTC
AJ, did this make 10.0? If not, I think its worth an update,

i just want to note, that it still does not work in RC2
Comment 12 Rodrigo Moya 2005-09-13 13:52:29 UTC
AFAIK, it did not make it into RC2, so should be for RC3

Still happens (RC1 with atached rpm installed).

Systems are x86_64 (actually, EM64T), the boxes used everywhere in the Solutions
Labs at BrainShare.

I don't want to be annoying, but I think a YOU update that really fixes this bug
might be helpful, even if it didn't make it for 10.0 GA.

Ignore that. After X restart it seems to work, sorry for the noise.
