you don't have kdebase3-kdm installed at all? (In reply to comment #1) > you don't have kdebase3-kdm installed at all? Yes kdebase3-kdm-3.4.2-22 is installed oh sorry. I misunderstood the problem. Your desktop doesn't lock - but that's GNOME here. And as kdm is prefered when both are installed, I very much think this is pretty nasty *** Bug 115563 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fails with latest 0.0.12 as well. Upstream bug -> http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315861 Package with fix submitted, re-open if not fixed (gnome-screensaver 0.0.12-2) AJ, did this make 10.0? If not, I think its worth an update, ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Sep 12 13:09:42 CEST 2005 - rodrigo@suse.de - Added gnome-screensaver-kdm.patch (#114729) Made it into RC2 - second-last package that was checked in ;-) *** Bug 115563 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** i just want to note, that it still does not work in RC2 AFAIK, it did not make it into RC2, so should be for RC3 Created attachment 49784 [details]
RPM with the fix
the attached rpm (#13) works fine. thanks *** Bug 105787 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Still happens (RC1 with atached rpm installed). Systems are x86_64 (actually, EM64T), the boxes used everywhere in the Solutions Labs at BrainShare. I don't want to be annoying, but I think a YOU update that really fixes this bug might be helpful, even if it didn't make it for 10.0 GA. (In reply to comment #16) > Still happens (RC1 with atached rpm installed). Ignore that. After X restart it seems to work, sorry for the noise. |
