Description Klaus Wagner 2005-09-01 15:24:19 UTC
Referring to the SL10.0b4 CD1:/boot/root image which gets mounted as
/mounts/instsys:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 1970-01-01 00:00 /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 76180 1970-01-01 00:00
/mounts/instsys/usr/lib/libk5crypto.so.3.0

"file" identifies this libk5crypto.so.3.0 as "data" instead of "ELF 32-bit LSB
shared object,...". And at an early stage of the installation, before YaST
starts, ldconfig complains on tty1:

starting udev... ok
starting hald... ok
ldconfig: /usr/lib/libk5crypto.so.3.0 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong
magic bytes at the start

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libk5crypto.so.3 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic
bytes at the start

ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2 is empty, not checked.
starting syslogd (logging to /dev/tty4)... ok
starting klogd... ok

As a consequence, e.g. the "scp" command does not work in the instsys because
of missing libraries.

I've no idea about how severe this bug really is: please adjust accordingly.
