Using yast2-bootfloppy I created "Standard Boot Floppy-Part 1 of 6". 
I mounted it on /media/floppy. 

/media/floppy/readme.txt shows this:

rock:~ # head -n 4 /media/floppy/readme.txt
This is SUSE Linux 9.3 Boot Disk 1.


  To access Boot Disk data, you have to join the individual disk images first:
