Description Frank-Michael Fischer 2005-09-03 16:07:26 UTC
I needed to test installing from directories (CDx) on a (USB) hard drive.
Neither hitting F1 nor any other F key tells me how to start it properly. I
also could not find any docs coming with SUSE10 giving me some boot switch to
achieve a manual installation. (I know there is one, just no docs, no help
key)
(Absurd) workaround: I specify a non-existing installation source and drop
then into manual mode. Is this intended?
Comment 1 Lukas Ocilka 2005-09-05 07:31:23 UTC
Manual installation option should be offered on the first screen of the
installation: Linuxrc...
Comment 2 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-09-05 08:32:39 UTC
manual & hd options were removed intentionally in 9.3.

Use install=hd:/somedir to start hard disk installation.

See linuxrc docs.
