Description Volker Kuhlmann 2005-09-04 10:38:41 UTC
digikam-0.7.4-3 has no documentation with it, when clicking on any of the help
buttons or going on help->manual, an error results. There doesn't seem to be
any separate doc package in the ftp directory either.
Comment 1 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 08:41:12 UTC
there is a digikam-doc tarball, but its currently not packaged and 22MB big..

Rudi, is this too big (I'd create a separate digikam-doc package) ?

Comment 2 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 10:20:50 UTC
submitted a digikam-doc package
Comment 3 Volker Kuhlmann 2005-09-07 11:25:24 UTC
I don't need the digikam docs for beta, but I think they are important for
final. Personally I would rate digikam as one of the major software packages
to get the home user into Linux - almost as important as OO.
Comment 4 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-07 11:42:42 UTC
I agree, but we forgot to package it and to find 20MB of free space somewhere
on the distro this late is almost impossible

We could split a few packages into a noarch subpart to save space on the DVD
which could work, but is also a lot of time consuming work
Comment 5 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-08 17:42:40 UTC
please add digikam-doc to KDE-Desktop selection and reassign back

Comment 6 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-08 17:51:20 UTC
I'm sure I'll be killed by Adrian/Coolo when I add 22MB to default again.
Comment 7 Dirk Mueller 2005-09-13 08:11:29 UTC
I don't think so.. anyway, the package is still missing on the CD set..
Comment 8 Stephan Kulow 2005-09-13 08:26:56 UTC
actually Rudi had 23MB free and it's on now. Please add to KDE-desktop :)
Comment 9 Stefan Dirsch 2005-09-13 08:31:58 UTC
Thanks to dropping lincity-ng? Anyway, I've added it now.
