If you change the theme at all in gnome, there isn't a way to reset it back to
what it used to be. It should be one the of the themes listed. It looks like
that the theme is industrial (partially) but if I change the theme to something
else, and then go back to industrial there are a lot of icons missing for the
kde components.

sigi wanted me to put this in for gnome as well. See comment #5 in
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=114951

If only icons of KDE are lost -- is this a Gnome problem or a KDE problem?
If KDE, please do not forget to inform the kde-maintainers.

It could be both because the gnome icons are not lost, but they are changed.
(which is probably why they are lost) It really just seems that we do not have a
default theme issue like in KDE.

Are they missing for good or only until you log in/out?

Perhaps other GNOME themes aren't inheriting crystal icons.

They are missing for good. And the GNOME icons are a bit different as well. I

I don't think that the whole theme is being set properly. If this is supposed
to be the industrial theme it doesn't look like it. Just go in and select the
industrial theme and see how the colors change in the menus and in yast. As
well, the gnome icons change, and the kde icons disappear.

Can you give an exact step by step Joe? Simply going
Industrial->6gnome->Industrial doesn't seem to show the problems you mention.
Comment 6 Joe Harmon 2005-09-06 18:52:16 UTC
Sorry jp. I messed up on this one. The coloring is still an issue, bug I had a
seperate bug on that one https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=114950.
However the icons issue that I was running into was because I had changed a
setting under the industrial theme. My bad on that one.
