Description Balazs Melikant 2005-09-08 19:45:28 UTC
I have an Acer TravelMate with German keyboard. While attempting to type in a
simple mount command I got (hmmmm) difficulties. I thought, that it's because
the special laptop keyboard, but on my (~German keyboarded) desktop that's the same.
After various attempts, when realized, that even the combinations listed on the
welcome screen (the funniest is "keymapper -> CTRL+F1") simply _don't_ work, I
gave up.
I guess, none of your common users will recompile the stuff in order to use it
with not-English keyboards. With my Hungarian keyboards I still could give a try
;) Anyway, the package was still OK in 9.1 and if I remember well in 9.2; after
that it became useless. At least for me.

It's an upstream issue, they introduced this strange keymapper. Please report
the problem upstream and have them sort it out, I can't fix it. As workaround
just temporary switch to US layout.
