I realise I forgot to mention into the bug's description that the problem occurs with external USB keyboard and mouses. The "normal" keyboard works ok. ACPI was disabled, and somehow it seemed to be the cause of the problem. Removing "acpi=off" from the kernel parameters in grub solved the problem.
