Description Jean-Daniel Dodin 2005-09-09 15:22:06 UTC
I can't find in yast a way to identify the source of a package.

one can have disks, ftp, folder. It's sometimes important to know if a
conflicting package come from the original cd's, ftp, other locations or one's
own folder.

Stefan, tak a look whether you can display some information for packages which
are selected for installation in the package selector (and conflict resolution
popup). Of course it is not possible to display anything about installed
package, as the source may not exist any more. In this case, the information
about package vendor (and other information comming inside the RPM package)
must be sufficient.

Simply switch to the "versions" view below the package list.
