Description Björn Voigt 2005-09-09 21:25:56 UTC
Gaim has a SILC plugin, which is included since some Gaim versions. This plugin
is only available, if the SILC toolket (http://silcnet.org/) is installed.

Since SuSE Linux 10 RC1 does not have this dependency, the SILC plugin is not
available in Gaim.

SILC offers a secure way of chatting and so it's very interesting.

i guess it's far to late for 10.0, set as enhancement for 10.1 and assigned.
Maintainers, please decide what to do with this.
Comment 2 JP Rosevear 2005-09-20 12:25:06 UTC
Please enable for 10.1 gary.
Comment 3 Gary Ekker 2006-01-04 21:50:55 UTC
We won't be adding the entire silc toolkit for 10.1, reassigning to default for later consideration.
Comment 5 Björn Voigt 2007-06-18 07:21:23 UTC
openSUSE 10.3 now includes silc-toolkit-1.0.2 (silc-toolkit-1.1 would be better for pidgin >= 2.0.2).
Comment 6 Björn Voigt 2007-11-02 20:39:45 UTC
This bug is fixed since openSUSE 10.3.
