Description Michael Stather 2005-09-10 11:47:17 UTC
IMHO the screensaver in YaST should be disabled. It just irritates new users who
install SuSE and see their screen blank (and perhaps think their system has
crashed). No recent CRT monitors tend to burn in any more, so I see no reason
for it to be there. Just my 2 cents.

Marcus, did we change any X11 defaults for that in 10.0? I never saw a screen
saver go active during installation.
Comment 2 Marcus Schaefer 2005-09-14 07:27:58 UTC
I did not change anything there is no screen-saver active. if you wait
a long time (about 3-5 minutes) the display may switch to a suspend mode
but this is nothing we can handle :-)

Doesn´t this have something to do with APM or ACPI or DPMS?
I don´t think I´ve enabled blank screen in my BIOS.
