Backtrace with debuginfo packages installed
Bug in the statistics plugin. Please disable this (Settings->Configure Plugins) to workaround while I investigate the root cause. Going to Settings -> Configure Plugins, crashes kopete. Any way to do this by manually editing a config file? Created attachment 49586 [details]
Backtrace from kopete crashing when selecting Settings -> Configure Plugins
Find or add the Plugins section to $HOME/.kde/share/config/kopeterc and set kopete_statisticsEnabled to false like this: The second crash you saw is related to the Alias plugin so turn that off too. [Plugins] kopete_statisticsEnabled=false kopete_aliasEnabled=false kopete_aliasEnabled was already false in my configuration. I have set kopete_statisticsEnabled to false (was true) and kopete now logs in all account without crashing. Can you still reproduce in SL10 final, by enabling statistics? When I go to Settings -> Configure Plugins, Kopete crashes SUSE 10.0 with KDE updates from supplementary Bavo: you're exactly the only one with that crash ;( There is not a single bug reporter on bugs.kde.org with that backtrace symtom and it's 100% inreproducible. I would love if you could do some debugging on your own, but so far: we can't help you openSUSE-SU-2012:0433-1: An update that solves one vulnerability and has 94 fixes is now available.
